Change, healing and growth can be hard, yet it can be freeing- providing both relief and possibility.
Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious or exhausted? I understand the unique challenges that come with each phase and season of life. You might be feeling alone, like no one would understand. It is hard, when on the outside it looks wonderful, and yet you are crumbling inside or being less than kind to yourself. Teens are facing anxiety, academic pressure, and mood swings. Couples may feel stuck, distant or recovering from betrayal. Families are struggling with conflict, communication, tension, or disconnection. You may want to just keep going, yet you can no longer ignore your struggles and the truth of not feeling well.
I offer a holistic, “out of the box” approach. I draw from my depth of life experience and education, providing clients a sense of feeling safe, seen and understood. I take an individualized, practical, down to earth approach in guiding and facilitating change. Change, healing and growth can be hard, yet it can be freeing- providing both relief and possibility.
My clients experience me as kind, empathetic, honest, practical, relational and inspiring. Clients find me easy to talk to and feel safe opening up. They find relief and support, and they both learn from and look forward to our sessions. They feel the genuine support, gain new perspectives, and experience feeling better. They leave each session with clarity, tools, connection and resources to get them through until the next session. I utilize a blend of modern and traditional evidence-based and creative therapeutic modalities, such as Trauma Informed Care, Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems, Nervous System Regulation, Somatic Informed and more. I work with teens, couples and families.
I have a Bachelor of Social Work and Master’s Social Work from Central Connecticut State University. I am a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) through the State of CT. I am also a certified youth yoga and mindfulness practitioner.
